Terms and Conditions of Entry

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. The promotion is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over. Employees of the Promoter, participating retailers and their staff and any agency involved with this promotion, and the immediate families of such employees, are not eligible to enter.
  3. The promotion commences at 12:01am on 05 June 2023 and finishes at 11:59pm on 27 August 2023 ("Promotion Period").
  4. To enter the promotion, the entrant must purchase an Asahi Super Dry 4x6pack carton or Asahi Super Dry 12pack featuring on-pack promotional artwork communicating the promotion from a participating Supermarket or Traditional Liquor store during the Promotional Period and locate a unique entry code printed on the inside of participating packs/cartons ("Qualifying Purchase"). It is advised that the entrant retains their purchase receipt(s) and in-pack unique code(s) for all purchases made.
  5. After the entrant has made a Qualifying Purchase scan the QR code on-pack or visit asahisuperdry.com/rwcpromo and input the requested details, including but not limited to the valid unique code located on the Qualifying Purchase, a current, valid email address, select the region of purchase, select either Supermarket or Traditional Liquor and submit the fully completed form to gain an entry in the Major Prize Draws (see clause 9 for draw details). Each unique entry code can only be used once.
  6. Subsequent entries made by each entrant, using their same entry details (email address) will receive bonus automatic entries into each following Major Prize Draw during the Promotional Period. The bonus entries received are as follows:
    1st code
    = 1 entry into all remaining draws
    2nd code
    = 2 entries (cumulative total 3 = front row)
    3rd code
    = 5 entries (cumulative total 8 = forward pack)
    4th code
    = 7 entries (cumulative total 15 = whole team)

    = 5 additional entries per unique code used
  7. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid. Any incorrect details submitted, including, but not limited to, an invalid unique code, may render the corresponding entry invalid.
  8. Multiple entries are permitted, subject to the following:
    1. only one (1) valid unique code per entry;
    2. each valid unique code can only be submitted once;
    3. each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements; and
    4. a maximum of 1 entry per person per day is permitted
  9. There are five (5) Major Prize Draws. The Major Prize Draws will take place on the following days & times for all entries received up to 11:59pm on the Sunday prior to each prize draw date.

    The first valid entry randomly drawn from all valid entries as detailed above subject to validation which may include providing their purchase receipt(s) and/or in-pack unique code(s), will win the Ultimate Rugby World Cup 2023 Finals Experience Major prize, valued at NZD $19,000 for two (2) people ("Major Prize"). The Major Prize consists of:
    • Two return economy class flights from Auckland to Paris, France
    • Two NZ domestic return flights from the major city closest to the winner's city of residence to Auckland
    • Return private airport transfers to Paris accommodation
    • 5 nights hotel accommodation
    • 2 x Category 2 tickets to Rugby World Cup Final weekend included Bronze Medal (27th October 2023) & Final (28th October 2023) matches
    • Return transfers from hotel to both matches

  10. As a condition of accepting the Major Prize, winners and their travelling companion must be available and able to travel to attend Rugby World Cup Finals, departing Auckland on the 24th October 2023 to Paris, France and departing Paris on the 31st October 2023 with arrival in Auckland on 1st November 2023. Once confirmed in writing, travel dates and names of those travelling are not changeable.
  11. Unless otherwise specified; meals, taxes, travel insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, additional days extended to the trip, additional accommodation, transport to and from any departure points, transfers, items of personal nature, in-room charges, additional insurance premiums and all other ancillary costs are not included. It is the winner's responsibility to organise transport to and from the airport departure and return point.
  12. All travel is managed by the Promoters nominated travel partner(s). The package is pre-booked due to availability. All airline and accommodation options are confirmed by the Promoters nominated travel partner(s). Winner is responsible for any amendment fees issued by airlines or suppliers once the booking is approved and issued. The Promoter is not liable for any changes made nor responsible for any negotiations with the nominated travel partner(s) on the nature of the pre-booked package.
  13. Flight to and from Paris is ex Auckland only.
  14. It is the responsibility of the winner and the winner's travelling companion to ensure that they each have valid travel documentation and/or visas to enter France. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenses incurred as a result of travel documents not meeting the requirements, will be the sole responsibility of the winner or the winners travelling companion. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including government and local consular offices and the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade website at https://www.safetravel.govt.nz/.
  15. The winner and the winner's travelling companion must have a valid passport, which must be valid for at least six (6) months from the date of departure. The winner and the winners travelling companion must depart from and return to the same departure point in their country of residence and must travel together. The winner and the winner's travelling companion must hold valid travel insurance for the period of travel. The itinerary is to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the Prize. Winner may be required to present their credit card at the time of check in to accommodation.
  16. The total prize pool is valued at NZD $95,000.
  17. All winners will be notified by telephone on the mobile phone number used for entry within 3 business days of the prize draw dates. For winning entries, the only person entitled to claim the prize is the Entrant who submitted the winning entry.
  18. As part of the conditions of accepting the prize a 'Winners Acceptance Form' must be completed confirming agreement to the Rugby World Cup 2023 Ticketing General Terms and Conditions ("Ticket Conditions").
  19. Additional reserve entries will be drawn and recorded in order drawn in case an invalid or ineligible entrant is drawn, the promoter cannot contact the winner or the prize is unclaimed.
  20. In the event that the prize or any part of the prize becomes unavailable for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter may in its sole discretion decide to provide an alternative prize.
  21. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be converted to cash.
  22. Neither the Promoter nor any other entity associated with this competition will be responsible for any late, lost, misdirected or incorrectly submitted entries, including but not limited to entries not received due to technical problems or human error. The time entries are deemed to be made will be the time the entry is received, not the time the entry is submitted by an entrant.
  23. The Promoter reserves the right to disallow entries in its absolute discretion and without giving reasons. If suspected fraudulent entries are suspected that entrants entries may be discounted from the Promotion and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to request all receipts for an entrants entries submitted, failure to produce receipt(s) for all entries will render that entrants entries as invalid and they will not be awarded a prize.
  24. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and determine the eligibility of entrants (including an entrant's identity) and to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a prize where false or misleading details have been given by an entrant, or where an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise than in accordance with these terms and conditions or the spirit of the promotion.
  25. By entering this Promotion, entrants agree to the use of their names, photographs, and likeness for promotional/advertising purposes, and agree to make themselves reasonably available for this purpose. The ensuing copyright will rest with the Promoter, without any claim to compensation from the entrants. This clause extends to any winner's nominated travelling companion.
  26. The winners acknowledge and agree that they will comply with all instructions given by employees of the Promoter and other agencies associated with this promotion and agree not to do anything that may bring the Promoter into disrepute.
  27. If a winner cannot accept or take part in the prize for any reason, their prize will be void and no compensation will be payable.
  28. The stated prize value is the recommended retail value (including GST) in New Zealand as provided by the supplier and is correct at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of any prize.
  29. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  30. All decisions made by the Promoter its employees or agents are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  31. The Promoter may amend, suspend or cancel any aspect of the competition (including any prize) at any time in its sole discretion.

Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies), excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where attributable to any of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected ; (d) any variation in the prize; (e) any tax liability incurred by a claimant or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.

WORLD RUGBY TICKET CONDITIONS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Acceptance of the rules is a condition of entry and entry instructions form part of the rules. Entry indicates acceptance of these rules.
  2. Each winner and his/her guest(s) as applicable agree to comply with the terms and conditions applicable to the issue and use of tickets from time to time (as available and set out at [TBC] or such other webpage as determined by Rugby World Cup Limited ("RWCL") from time to time), the tournament organiser (Federation Francaise de Rugby 2023, "FFR2023") and all applicable venue owner or operator rules and regulations to access Rugby World Cup venues and any other areas associated with Rugby World Cup (including any terms of accreditation determined by RWCL). Further each winner and his/her guest(s) acknowledge that he/she may be required to enter into a direct acknowledgement and/or agreement with RWCL and/or FFR2023 concerning use of the tickets and compliance with ticket terms and conditions prior to receiving the prize.
  3. Winners and/or guests shall not, while using Rugby World Cup tickets, display or publicise any political slogans or homophobic language, images of a lewd or explicitly sexual nature, images containing logos of competitors and overt brand sponsorship or anything else deemed to ambush marketing or an abuse of the Rugby World Cup, content which is defamatory, obscene, illegal, vulgar, offensive or otherwise unsuitable or infringes others' rights (including intellectual property rights) or reflects negatively upon any of RWCL or the Rugby World Cup. Each entrant agrees and acknowledges that any breach of this clause 16 will cause significant damage and loss to RWCL.
